WHY CAN’T MY DANCER BE IN THE LOBBY NEAR THE AUDITORIUM BEFORE THE PERFORMANCE?

Here at FVDM, we are true professionals with very high standards. To achieve the professionalism that we expect, performers are not to be in the auditorium or foyer area preceding or during the show. If you think about a Broadway show, the performers have their entrance, and the patrons of the show have a separate entrance. You never see the performers before the show. Although this is not a Broadway Production, we want to give our students an authentic dance education. Following this guideline is a part of your dancer’s education of how a professional show is to be conducted. If you need a restroom for your child before the show, we have specific ones designated for performers that are away from the auditorium. Please ask a volunteer for more information.
